GRATITUDE: For grant money

Lemons of Love Northwest is a small nonprofit that creates chemo-care tote bags for cancer patients receiving chemotherapy at our local cancer-care facilities. We are pleased to announce a grant of $1,000 from the Forever North Idaho Fund in the Idaho Community Foundation. If you’re not familiar with The Idaho Community Foundation, it was formed in 1988 to build philanthropy in Idaho, with the philosophy that collective giving is powerful and everyone gets a chance to make a difference regardless of income. They serve all of Idaho, with separate funds for different parts of the state.

Lemons of Love Northwest is honored to receive support from the Forever North Idaho Fund. Our mission is to see that every cancer patient receiving chemotherapy gets one of our bags, filled with items to comfort and bring a smile. With the help from the cancer-care facilities that distribute the bags and support from donors, we can pursue our goal. Many people go through cancer treatment alone, and we hope that receiving one of these bags lets them know that someone cares.
